About the Founder

Gracey Murphy is a Washington, IA Native who graduated with her Bachelors in Theatre Arts from the University of Iowa in 2018. She has a history of acting, directing, and working backstage in various productions. In 2019, Gracey moved to China to teach English to students and in 2020, she volunteered at a Theatre camp in Thailand! She has also worked at daycares, elementary schools, a summer camp, and has led a before and after school program. 

Most recently, Gracey received her Masters in Social Work with a focus on children and youth from the University of Denver in 2023. She now works as a School Social Worker at a school in Denver while also teaching theater for after school programs. She even interned at a performing arts school from 2021-2022!  

Gracey is so excited to spend a week back in her hometown teaching Theatre and putting together a wonderful production for kids! She loves Washington so much and looks forward to putting on The 33 Little Pigs. It will truly be something special!
